Don't confuse with

The left-hand radicals look almost the same but count differently: 亻 (person, 2 strokes) appears in 住 (zhù, to live/dwell) — a person settled somewhere. 彳 (step/walk, 3 strokes — one extra diagonal above 亻) appears in 往 (wǎng, toward/to go) — movement, not settling.
