Don't confuse with

Look only at the top: 云 (yún, cloud) has two bare horizontal strokes with no vertical connecting them (二). 去 (qù, to go) has a vertical line crossing through its top part, making it look like 土 — originally a person leaving the earth behind. No crossing line on top = cloud; a crossing line on top = to go.
